When you create a new drawing sheet within a drawing sheet set, a new drawing file (.dwg) is created with an active sheet tab. The name of the drawing sheet from the Drawing Sheet List is a link to the displayed sheet in the .dwg file.
You can associate a default template for each drawing sheet set or subset. The new sheets that you create within the drawing sheet set will take the properties from the assigned template.
Before creating drawing sheets, you must create a drawing template file (.dwt) that contains sheets. You can specify such a .dwt file as default template for each drawing sheet set or subset. The new sheets that you create within the drawing sheet set will take the properties from the assigned template. This .dwt file is called drawing sheet creation template.
Optionally, you can specify a different drawing sheet creation template for each drawing sheet a creation time. The Prompt for Template option controlls the template behavior.
To create a new drawing sheet:
Note: You can change the default drawing sheet creation template file used during creation in the Drawing Sheet Set Properties dialog box. See Modifying Drawing Sheet Set Properties.
A drawing file (.dwg) opens with the active sheet tab. The new drawing sheet appears under the specified drawing sheet set or subset. At any time, you can move the drawing sheet within the list using drag-and-drop. You can right-click the new drawing sheet and modify the properties.
