The Model Views tab of the Sheet Set Manager displays a tree view of folder locations that are available for the current drawing sheet set. Expanding a folder location node displays all folders and drawings in that location. Expanding a drawing node displays the model views from that drawing.
At any time, you can associate drawings from a specified folder with the current drawing sheet set. For example, if you are working with external referenced drawings, you can add the folder where you store the referenced drawings to a drawing sheet set.
The Model View tab lets you access the external references at any time.
You can do the following:
To add a folder location to the current drawing sheet set:
The folder location appears in the tree view. Expanding the folder location node displays all folders and drawings in that location. Expanding a drawing node displays the model views from that drawing.
You can add a model view from the Model Views tab to the current sheet or an entire drawing as a view on the current sheet.
To place an entire drawing or a model view on the current sheet:
Click Toggle preview
to display the Preview area.
The drawing frame appears attached to the mouse cursor.
Note: You can change the drawing scale list. On the status bar, click Annotation and select Scale List from the displayed menu.
The drawing or the model view is attached as an external reference with an insertion point in the origin.
Note: The software attaches the entire drawing. According to your selection (drawing or model view) the entire content of the model workspace is displayed or only what is visible in the model view.
