Using the SmartCalculator

Use the CalculatorDialog command to display the Calculator dialog box to perform mathematical and trigonometric computations and measurement conversions. You can use the command transparently.

The Calculator dialog box contains the following areas:

You can build expressions and edit them as necessary before calculating the result. To evaluate an expression, click the equal (=) sign, or press Enter. At any time, in the History area, you can review and retrieve previously calculated expressions.

Note: Results of calculations are always expressed in decimal format with the precision specified in Drawing Settings. The display is limited to eight decimal places of precision.

To use scientific functions:

  1. TypeCalculatorDialog.
  2. Under Scientific, click a function.
  3. Insert a number into the brackets.
  4. Click the equal sign (=).
  5. The scientific expression and result display in Calculation.

To convert units of measurement:

  1. Type CalculatorDialog.
  2. Under Units Conversion:
    1. Select a Units type.
    2. Select the unit you want to Convert from.
    3. Select the unit you want to Convert to.
    4. Type the Value to convert.
    5. Click Evaluate .
    6. The result displays in Converted value.
