Use the -InsertReference command to insert Block definitions, Layers, and styles of referenced drawings into a drawing.
In contrast to the -EmbedDrawing command, dependent object definitions are merged into the drawing without adding prefixes.
For example, the Block named door2 of the Reference named house1 will also be named door2 in the host drawing. If the same name already exists, the Block definition is overwritten.
For more information on dependent object definitions, see Referencing Drawings - Basics > Dependent symbol names.
To insert Block definitions, Layers, and styles of References:
You must specify the full name including the Reference name and the vertical bar ( | ) before the item name (for example, "house1|door2").
The dependent object definition is added to the drawing.
Note: You can specify multiple items, separated by commas.
